PLAGAL FLYERS ENCLOSED
About a year has passed since PLAGAL distributed to its members and friends copies of master originals of the three primary flyers, so this rather abbreviated issue of the PLAGAL Memorandum transmits the front (cover) and back (text) of these three great works of rhetoric.
These master originals are on white paper because this allows the flyer to be copied onto colored paper best. Copying colored paper often makes poor copies. We highly recommend that the flyers be photocopied on to three different and specific colors of paper, because this makes it so much easier to separate them for different audiences. The flyer, entitled an "Open Letter to the Pro-Life Movement," is usually referred to in PLAGAL as the "yellow" flyer (or brochure); while the flyer entitled, "Abortion .. Another Name for Gay Bashing," is the "blue" flyer and the flyer entitled, "Victims: Gays, Lesbians, . . . and the Unborn," is the "pink" flyer.
For those of you not planning to attend the 1996 March for Life, we urge you to attend the equivalent pro-life function and to distribute these flyers. The yellow flyer is best focussed on pro-lifers who are uncomfortable or surprised to find open lesbians and gays among their allies. However, the pink and blue flyers are useful not only to show what PLAGAL is saying to the lesbian and gay community, but also to provide pro-lifers with additional -- and often unsuspected -- arguments for the pro-life position. And you can never tell when you will run into a closeted lesbian or gay pro-lifer who has never heard of PLAGAL. We find them every year at the March.
